Our Projects

HiPoTeSis

HiPoTeSis is a project co-funded by the European Union’s Interreg Atlantic Area programme, bringing together five partners from four Atlantic countries: Spain, France, Portugal and Ireland. The project aims to strengthen the capacity for testing and demonstrating ocean energy technologies at reference test centres along the European Atlantic coast.

CEO – Companhia da Energia Oceânica acts as the consortium’s coordinating partner, leading the overall management of the project and contributing the infrastructure of the Aguçadoura test centre for the validation of innovative solutions in wave energy and floating wind power.

Consortium partners: PLOCAN (Spain), BiMEP (Spain), OPEN-C (France), CEO (Portugal) and SEAI (Ireland).

EnerTEF

EnerTEF is a project co-funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme, focused on the development and modernisation of testing infrastructure for marine renewable energy technologies.

The project aims to establish benchmark conditions for the validation of innovative technological solutions in a real offshore operating environment.

The EnerTEF consortium comprises 25 entities from 10 European countries, including universities, research institutes, technology companies and grid operators. CEO is actively involved in EnerTEF, contributing its expertise at the Aguçadoura test centre and in the integration of monitoring, automation and grid connection systems for ocean energy devices.
