Who are we?
Companhia da Energia Oceânica (CEO) is a private company owned by INESC TEC (60%) and WavEC (40%) dedicated to the testing, demonstration and validation of ocean technologies in real sea conditions (TRL 5 to 8), with special focus in offshore renewable energies.
What do we do?
We own and operate the Aguçadoura infrastructure, a Testbed and Experimentation Facility (TEF) for ocean technologies, where several wave and floating offshore wind technologies, underwater robotics or infrastructure safety have or are being tested under real conditions.
What do we offer?
We offer the access to the grid connected Aguçadoura test site, located in the exposed Atlantic area of the North Region of Portugal, for testing, demonstration and validation of pioneer and ambitious ocean technology at TRL 5 to 8.
